Never quite sure what elevated Crooksy to the hero status in my eyes , probably he’s don’t give a shit get on with the game apparent philosophy , he played for Cas , not the one of the Wigan Fancy Boys and most importantly like myself he was a Prop that kicked goals – we were a rare breed together ! His staus was cemented with the 1994 Regal Trophy rout for Cas against the hot favourite Wigan Fancy Boys probably one of the most complete team performances I ve ever witnessed on a Rugby Field
